I pretty well have every Kindle related book, product and program in my massive Kindle how-to library.  Some of these are fabulous and worth way more than I paid for them, while others are outdated and lacking in one way or another.

I am often surprised at how reluctant some “would-be” authors are to purchase a $3.00 book   or $25.00 product.  If this is your business, either part-time or full-time, you NEED to invest in it.  These purchases are a business write-off.  MY bottom line is, that if I can learn ONE new tip, technique or how-to process that will help me sell more books, I will happily pay the price.

When I got started in Kindle publishing one book helped me confidently take the steps necessary to format my book properly and get it onto the Kindle platform in less than 2 hours.  That book cost me $5.99  — the information was  priceless!

This book by Shelley Hitz is a classic.  It is a MUST for first time publishers.  Even seasoned publishers will have numerous ah-ha moments!

Penny Sansevier has one of the BEST explanations of how the Amazon search engine works.  This information will make a difference in how you choose titles and categories.   Get this right and you will increase sales exponentially!

Getting Reviews

Simple fact:  Book Reviews SELL Books.   So my question is, why do so many authors ignore this ultra important part of a book marketing strategy?  Because their book is pure trash?  Because the author is afraid of negative reviews? Because they are afraid of hard work?  Because they don’t know how to go about getting reviews?  The following books will help with everything but “pure trash.”

 

Gisela Hausmann and Divya Lavanya give you loads of no-nonsense information about why you need them and how to get them.

This book on getting reviews is a classic.  There is a reason that dozens and dozens of Amazon’s top 100 reviewers love it!

What I especially like about this book is the step-by-step actions and loads of great how-to’s not covered in the other two books.

Alina Rutkowska has a different take on getting reviews.  In her 100 Review Book Launch report, she outlines how she got 100 book reviews when she launched a new title.

Author Platforms are essential to building steady sales, BUT they take time and effort. There are hundreds of different ways to do it, so I chose the best books on the subject by authors who are creating best sellers on a regular basis.  The first two books don’t have “author platform” in their title, but get them anyway!
