Over the past eighteen years I have built hundreds of websites.  I originally coded HTML websites, then pounded a few PHP basics into my head and finally discovered WordPress.  I fell in love with WordPress and now work almost exclusively with the WordPress platform.

I am a full believer in using commercially built templates in order to save loads of time and money for my customers. Custom coding comes with a big price and some of the most popular sites on the Internet start with a template.  The commercial templates I use are constantly being upgraded because WordPress is constantly being upgraded.

Proof Positive  is the first site I built eighteen years ago.  It has gone through constant upgrades and looks.

The main site is built with the Thesis Theme, though there are still vestiges of old HTML and PHP database pages lurking around. There are over a thousand pages hidden away on this website!

Thesis is a very powerful theme that can be modified in countless ways. Thesis is NOT for a beginner!

Julia James website was originally designed and developed by a Vancouver website designer.  Julia came to me for SEO services and over the years I have additionally helped her develop and build her website.  A few years ago we decided to move the HTML based site into the WordPress platform.  Because Julia wanted to retain the original look and feel of her site, we chose to create a custom theme.

Once a WordPress site has been built, it is relatively easy to maintain … if you can create documents in Microsoft Word, you can maintain a WP site.  You may occasionally have to get a programmer to help with the occasional tweek and add on!

Vancouver Allergy Centre is a small but very attractive looking site.  It is easy to navigate and very easy to maintain.

The Raindrops Acupuncture site is a hybrid.  The main site section is PHP coded while the blog portion is a WordPress installation with a custom theme.  Most visitors have no idea that there are two distinct sections to the website. Now that I’ve pointed it out, can YOU see the differences between the main site and the WP blog?

Vancouver Patio Designs is a “responsive” template consisting mostly of display galleries.  Once a photo gallery has been created,  it is easy to maintain and update. With this template you can create as many different galleries as you desire.
